Help out at an event near you!
Throughout Queensland we hold various events to help raise money, awareness and support for people doing it tough. These events wouldn't be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers, who selflessly share their time, skills and enthusiasm to make them a success. From pop-up events to working bees in the garden, Christmas Wrap fundraisers to Lifeline Bookfests, we're always looking for people with a variety of skills and interests to put their hand up to help out!
You could volunteer at a:
- Lifeline Bookfest
- Lifeline $2 Clothing sale
- Gift wrapping fundraiser
- Fundraising events like a fun run or Lifeline Out of the Shadows walk
- Fashion parade Pop up market stall
- Local working bee Community event (eg NAIDOC or Pride)
- Christmas celebration (eg for prisoners or people experiencing homelessness).
And this is just to name a few! Check out what's coming up on our events calendar.
Volunteer at Lifeline Bookfest
The Lifeline Bookfest is a second-hand book sale for anybody, of any age, who loves books and reading. They run all over Queensland, all throughout the year.
We couldn’t run our Lifeline Bookfest events without the almost 3,000 generous people who put their hands up to help! We think they are pretty cool — they help us sort, price, set up, set down and operate the registers.
Take a look at the events we have going on and put your name down to help out. Who knows, you may even unearth a treasure or two for yourself.
